Happening Now: P-Harcourt on fire as police escort kills taxi drive


PORT HARCOURT – The capital of Rivers State has been set on fire as a police escort kills a taxi driver.

Youths from Igbo extraction protesting at the popular East-West road where the incident occurred.

The yet to be identified policeman shot the taxi driver dead at Rumuokoro roundabout, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state and fled the scene in a company trailer, a source told Vanguard.

Some youths from Igbo extraction who have identified the victim as their brother have blocked the popular East-West road where the incident occured in protest.

But the development took another twist as policemen from the state command arrived to pick the remains with heavy gunfire causing panic in the area.
